I like how he just assumes things too on what Mayhew will do. A trade up for Watkins is not a bad thing either.

I'd love him here. But trading up for a WR is not very smart imo.

Depends on Houston/Slay/Bentley and Jones/Taylor and the rest of the draft along with the cost to move up. Watkins will be a great player. If he busts or is average then obvioulsy it's a major failure. And that's in hindsight. At the time he looks like an elite WR.

You'll disagree with me but unless you're very close to a SB trading picks for a WR not the way to go. I don't think we're that close. A QB, sure. DE, LT - yeah why not. But not a WR.

He's an elite prospect. And we have Super Bowl talent IMO but it's ok to disagree. Some rookie 2nd round CB and 3rd round DE or vice versa (the presumed cost to move up) won't change that if you think we do or don't have Super Bowl talent. Unless you find a Warford type twice.

I really don't think it would cost us BOTH our 2nd and 3rd. If that was the price, it's WAY too much. If the cost was swapping 1st's and our 3rd and 4th. Yes.

I would not trade our 2nd round pick in any deal that we just receive picks for. Still need to shore up a 3rd S and a DE... IMO

Falcons did it and worked out pretty well for them. Now you can argue that we are not as talented as they were prior to the trade.

We are more talented on the Oline, RB (two), Dline, LB and equal QB/secondary to how the Falcons were at that time. They have us at TE with Tony G but that's it.

and look at the Falcons now. They are a hot mess. Great teams are built from top to bottom. The Falcons have a few key injuries and they suck! The Lions have some good players but they are not one WR away from a championship caliber team. They have about 1/2 of a roster....some good starters with nothing but shit behind them.

he has affected my personal life.....my favorite team is a heaping pile of dog shit and hes running the show.

dwill, titus, broyles, overpaying nate, trading for mike Thomas, signing tate....all within 4 years and all WHILE having the best wr in the game and a #1 draft pick at QB. Is he skitzo or something???!???

really? ...really? you actually thought it was a serious post. I put mayhew was going to draft 5 WRs and you took it seriously? go drown yourself please...

They are a hot mess because they weren't talented at the other spots. The Lions are talented at the other spots. And do have some depth in some areas (lack in some others).

if you're letting a sports franchise affect your life that much, i feel really bad for you. must be a very sad life you live then.

Of course I didn't think you were serious you idiot. Your Mayhew hate is getting old. And guess what. Nobody will ever give you credit for anything for being "right". You don't actually know what will happen you are just blindly hating on every move Mayhew makes. You get no credit even if the Lions fail to make the playoffs again because it's based on hate of Mayhew not actual football knowledge.

but im right.

2012 - we start 4-4 and as soon as ponder and locker finish going off on our defense I stated we would finish 4-12 cause our defense sucked ass. RIGHT!

2013 - correctly predicted 7-9 and an epic collapse PRIOR to the season cause mayhew built our team paper thin and our coordinators sucked.

So say its "blind hate" all you want....but when it turns out to be accurate for going on 3 years....id say its a lot more "right" then the shit you spout off all day lol.

You weren't right. It's a very talented team that had concentrated injuries(down to 4th and 5th string) and a turnover problem. You blindly hate Mayhew with almost every move. You fail to see when the depth does perform. You have never been right and 2014 you will continue to be wrong.

I know I was all for trading up for Watkins awhile back, but now if we're going to trade up, I'd prefer Clowney. I think he could have a bigger impact than Watkins could. Although I still would love Watkins if that worked out somehow.
