Detroit Lions Podcast Episode 150 ? Lions Settling In For The Draft. 78 minutes.

In this episode of The Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris and Case break down the latest Detroit Lions Free Agency News, the latest information about Ziggy Ansah, the state of running backs and the team?s possible moves in the draft and Free Agency, Case takes us Around the Division, and a whole lot more.

We start the show discussing Ezekiel Ansah and the fact that once he got back in town, he signed the franchise tagged offer and is getting ready to start working out with the team. We discuss whether he is worth it, why it was or wasn?t a good move, and where the team goes from here.

Mark Whalberg (native Bostonian and huge Patriots fan) weighed in this week with his thoughts on Matt Patricia and his move to the Lions. Spoiler alert, Marky Mark loves Matt Patricia and says some highly complementary things about the Lions, the city of Detroit, the State of Michigan, almost let?s slip his love for Matthew Stafford. He definitely moved up a bunch of notches in our ?book of respectable people? after this one.

We spend a good bit of time discussing the running back situation in Detroit and what/how Bob Quinn might address the issues. We talk about some of the reasons that they haven?t been able to do the things we expect, including discussing the supporting cast of the O-line and even coaching. We take a digression into an old Lions offensive coordinator, Scott Linehan. It?s a broad discussion, and one which we will likely bring to a conclusion in our next show, the last one prior to the draft.

Lastly, Case takes the Detroit Lions Podcast listeners around the world in one of the longest ?Around The Division? segments that we?ve ever done. This will likely be the best pre-draft divisional update you will be able to find. Also, Case continues to paint the fence brown, one post at a time, with his complete inability to do anything but sit on it when we discuss Green Bay and Chicago?s 2018/19 destiny.

Don?t forget about our upcoming NFL Draft Party! We?re going to do something pretty amazing and, if you aren?t going anywhere to watch the draft join us and our special guests for what is sure to be an amazing show. Remember, we?ll be taking your calls during the show as well! It runs from 15 minutes before the start of the draft through the end of the first round. We?ll be here for you with our special brand of analysis, and maybe even a couple of cold ones.

Let us know what you think about the show by commenting in the podcast thread in the subreddit, or by leaving us a voice mail message via Skype at: DetroitLionsPodcast Your input will help make the show better, and if you leave us a message on Skype, you just might be featured in an upcoming Detroit Lions Podcast! Lions linebacker Jarrad Davis said he feels more "mentally relaxed" and "mentally prepared" this year than he did last year during his rookie year.
A lot of that came through evaluating everything he did last year and seeing the results. Said he had a lot of tough points last year and things he wants to improve on.

Matthew Stafford on what he needs to improve on for this year: "I turned the ball over probably too many times last year." Specifically mentioned the fumbles he had when he was hit.
