Through the first eight games of the season, the Lions have only allowed six passing TDs.This is their lowest since allowing only five passing TDs through the first eight games of the 1986 season.

Among a QB's first eight games of any season in NFL history (100 attempt minimum), Lions QB Jared Goff
has the second-highest completion percentage (74.9%).
The only player with a better mark was Drew Brees in 2018 (76.3%).

Lions RBs David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs have each totaled 625+ scrimmage yards and 7 rushing TDs this season. The last NFL RB duo to each log these numbers through the first 8 games of a season were Packers RBs Paul Hornung & Jim Taylor in 1960.

The only players in Lions history to rush for a TD in seven of the team's first nine games of a season:
1. David Montgomery (2024).
2. Barry Sanders (1990).

Lions RBs David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs are the NFL's first RB duo to each log 700+ scrimmage yards and 8+ scrimmage TDs through a team's first nine games of a season since the 1959 Browns (RBs Jim Brown & Bobby Mitchell).

The Lions have three players with 7+ TDs through the first 9 games of a season for the first time in franchise history:
1. David Montgomery
2. Amon-Ra St. Brown
3. Jahmyr Gibbs
The only other time the Lions had multiple players with 7 TDs thru 9 games was in 1963.

The Lions have recorded an INT in each of the first nine games of the season and have yet to allow multiple TD passes in a game. This is the 6th such occurrence in NFL history, joining:
1985 Eagles
1984 Broncos
1978 Broncos
1941 Bears
1939 Giants

Lions K Jake Bates has won his second NFC Special Teams Player of the Week Award this season. He joins Jason Hanson (12) and Matt Prater (7) as the only Lions kickers to win the award multiple times.
