Detroit Lions - Team Notes

Frank Ragnow is one of the best draft picks in Lions HISTORY and it isn?t talked about enough.

Ragnow hasn?t allowed a sack in 405 days (week 8 of last season).

And has only allowed ONE sack in the past FOUR years.

Not only that, but over the course of his career, Ragnow has only allowed 7 sacks and 17 hits (5,016 snaps).

For reference, their are offensive linemen with over 7 sacks and 17 hits in just this season ALONE.

Conclusion of the 2023-2024 season:

The Lions have placed five players on the initial Pro Bowl roster for the first time since 1999.
It also marks the first time in the Super Bowl era that two Detroit offensive linemen (C @KNARFWONGAR & T @peneisewell58) were both named to the Pro Bowl in consecutive years.

Lions TE Sam laporta joined Charlie Sanders (1968) as the only two rookie tight ends in team history to make a Pro Bowl.
He is the first rookie for Detroit to earn a Pro Bowl selection since Ndamukong Suh in 2010.

Lions T penei sewell58 has been named to the Pro Bowl for the second year in a row. The last time a Lions T was named to the Pro Bowl in consecutive years was Lomas Brown (6) 1990-95.
Per PFF, Sewell has only allowed 1.0 sack on 611 pass-blocking snaps this season.

Lions LB Reeves-Maybin has been selected to his first Pro Bowl. He is the first Lions special teamer (non-P, K, KR or LS) to make a Pro Bowl.

Lions TE Sam laporta has produced his 10th receiving TD of the season, tying
