USA TODAY predicts 6-10 season for Detroit Lions
Once again, USA TODAY is doubting the Lions.
While not many NFL analysts have been predicting big things for the Detroit Lions in 2018, we haven’t seen many predicting a big drop off, either. However, USA TODAY’s Nate Davis doesn’t appear to be much of a believer in Detroit. He has them finishing last in the NFC North this season with a 6-10 record. That’s also good for third-worst in the entire NFC.
Of course, if you look at the history of USA TODAY, this won’t come as a surprise. Look at what they have predicted for Detroit over the past four years:
Lions USA TODAY Projections Through the Years and (Actual Record):
2014: 4-12 (11-5), +7 wins
2015: 7-9 (7-9), even
2016: 7-9 (9-7), +2 wins
2017: 5-11 (9-7), +2 wins
2018: 6-10 (?)

Lions have waived TE Brandon Barnes from Reserve-Injured.
This will allow Barnes to try and catch on in another teams training camp this year.
