The Lions showed some promise early on with a 10-0 lead, but Detroit's continued defensive struggles and an inability of the offense to do much of anything led to a 10-10 tie at the half with Denver.
Kerryon Johnson has four carries for 17 yards in his return. Otherwise, the best news for the day for Detroit came away from Denver, where wins by Miami and the Giants temporarily give the Lions the No. 3 pick in the draft.

Jahlani Tavai questionable to return for the Lions with a shoulder injury. Hurt it on first play of the last drive. Steve Longa now the team's middle linebacker.

Another week, another loss for the Detroit Lions. They were competitive again. They held a lead again. They lost. Again. This time a 27-17 loss to Denver that pushed the club to the No. 3 pick in the draft.

It also gave the Lions the worst overall record in the Super Bowl era after going unbeaten the first three weeks of the year, a mark that stood for 50 years.
It was held by the 1969 Cincinnati Bengals until today, when the Lions broke it with one week left.
