Pride Of Detroit Lions Podcast: Breaking down our favorite defensive coordinator candidates for the Detroit Lions. 41 minutes.
We go deep on the DC candidates in our latest podcast.

We?re not even a full week into the offseason, but it was time to already sound the alarms and congregate for an emergency PODcast. The Detroit Lions fired six members of their coaching staff on Tuesday, and followed it up by the ?resignation? of two more on Thursday, including defensive coordinator Paul Pasqualoni.

While none of these moves were particularly surprising, they do leave the Lions in a very interesting position. With the pressure on to be a significant playoff contender in 2020 and the Senior Bowl just weeks away, Matt Patricia and his current staff must find replacements quickly and it all has to come together immediately.

So myself and Kent Lee Platte joined on Wednesday evening to discuss the decisions made by the staff, why we think they made them and who we think could fill some of the vacancies left by this week?s moves.

This week on the EMERGENCY PODcast:
Are we buying that Paul Pasqualoni voluntarily stepped down? (Spoiler: Nope).

Which, if any, of these moves were surprising?

Is this coaching overhaul just part of the overall rebuild? How long until this new group of coaches gels?

Will Matt Patricia go out of his comfort zone again, like he did at offensive coordinator?

Jeremy and Kent run through their favorite DC candidates and wade through the realistic and unrealistic options.

Is the Lions? new offensive line coach already on staff?

Pride Of Detroit Lions Ask POD: Offseason mailbag returns!
It?s the offseason and we?re here to guide you through it.

It?s officially the offseason for the Detroit Lions and that means the healing can begin. Detroit has already rid themselves of several coaches, which is (hopefully) just one of many drastic changes to the team in 2020.

With hope now slowly creeping into the fanbase again, it?s time to return to our regular weekly mailbag.

If you?re unfamiliar with the mailbag, most of the questions will be answered in the final segment of our weekly podcast?which we stream live over our Twitch channel every Sunday at 8 p.m. ET. However, any leftover questions will be rolled over into a mailbag article sometime early next week. It?s the offseason and we need content. That? where you step in.

So in the comment section below, send us any and all of your questions. We?ll gladly answer any Lions questions you have, but we?ll answer questions on literally any topic. We love getting silly, talking about food or movies or anything but wrestling.

Submit your questions in the comment section below or via Twitter using the hashtag #AskPOD.
