Detroit Lions - Team Notes

10 NFL Players that will break out in 2016.

Eric Ebron, TE, Detroit Lions -- Calvin Johnson has retired. There goes the beast that the Detroit Lions had for so many years. He was incredibly reliable and he was absolutely amazing. An area where Johnson was great was in the red zone. He racked up TD after TD after TD. Now, the Detroit Lions need someone else to step up and take over being the red zone guy. Will it be Golden Tate? Marvin Jones? I don't believe it will be either of them. I think that it will be third-year Tight End Eric Ebron. Ebron was the #10 pick in the 2014 NFL Draft so the Lions thought very highly of them. He is the biggest target Matthew Stafford has to throw to . Tate and Jones aren't really considered red zone threats. Ebron has a chance to catch around 10 TD's this year. He could emerge as a top target for Matthew Stafford and he could become a top ten Tight End.
