Detroit Lions - Team Notes

LIONS SHOULD TRADE FOR LOGAN RYAN.
Bob Quinn and Bill Belichick have already made one deal, so why not another? Mike Sando thinks a young veteran like Ryan could really help Detroit's struggling defense.

LIONS' RUN D LETS THEM DOWN LATE.
The Texans rushed for just 29 yards and three first downs on 17 carries in the first three quarters Sunday. In the fourth, they racked up 79 yards and five first downs on 11 carries (excluding kneel-downs), per ESPN Stats & Info.

Jim Caldwell said he believes his defense is trending in the right direction. Pointed out that the run defense has been better. Mentioned Khyri Thornton and Stefan Charles specifically as players who have done well.

Jim Caldwell said "we'll see" when asked if the Lions would be active at the trade deadline. Lions traded Kyle Van Noy away last week.

Thanks to ESPN Stats & Info, found another onside kick from Jim Caldwell with all his timeouts down 7 points. The Lions recovered an onside kick with 2:05 left against St. Louis last year. Detroit also lost that game.
