Lions punter Sam Martin said he'll likely work out with Johnny Hekker at some point this offseason. Thinks they are similar in "doing different types of things" when it comes to punting.

Lions team president Rod Wood said he has made recommendations on when the team will wear which jerseys this year. Is waiting until next week's league meetings to find if it is approved.

Lions team president Rod Wood said he is "very, very pleased" with the way the schedule ended up shaking out. Said it's a reflection of how team played last year.

Lions team president Rod Wood, when asked about Gisele's comments about Tom Brady had a concussion and what the league needs to do is "encourage the players to raise their hand if something's going on." Doctors are spotting things, but Wood said players need to speak up if something isn't feeling right. Said they have tried to educate players on that and that he hopes Brady didn't have a concussion.

Lions RB Ameer Abdullah said he doesn't look at the team not signing or drafting a running back as a vote of confidence. Still has to compete. Also didn't pay much attention to what they did there because the competitor in him believes he will be the best back on the field.
