According to the ?Around the NFL? podcast, the Lions shouldn?t expect back-to-back playoff appearances.

NFL.com?s podcast ?Around the NFL? ranked each 2016 playoff team from 1-12 in terms of their likelihood to return to the postseason this upcoming season. They collectively ranked the Detroit Lions last, thinking they are the least likely team to make the postseason this year.
Gregg Rosenthal explained his reasoning to the group. ?The Browns are the only other team in the league that was losing in 15 of 16 games in the fourth quarter,? Rosenthal said. ?The Lions had no business in the playoffs last year.?

Glover Quin is a top-10 ?ball hawk? in the NFL.
The veteran is still getting some love from across the league.

NFL 1000: Ranking the Best Ball Hawks.

Bleacher Report?s Doug Farrar listed the top-10 ball hawks in the NFL right now. He defined ball hawk not as just getting interceptions, but tallying passes defended and maintaining consistent, tight coverage.
Farrar listed Detroit Lions safety Glover Quin as the 10th-best ball hawk in the league, calling him ?a field-smart opportunist who understands timing and angles.?
