Matt Prater today: good from 55 yards, 40 yards, 35 yards and 57 yards.
Jim Caldwell said WR Kenny Golladay has done all right as a blocker. A lot is focused on his receiving, but in the Lions offense they have to block well.
Tahir Whitehead, Akeem Spence, Ameer Abdullah among players kneeling for the Lions, Eight players in all. Rest of Lions, team owner Martha Ford, linked arms. Eric Ebron stood alone.
Matthew Stafford is now No. 43 all-time in passing, moving past Norm Snead (30,797 yards). Stafford started the day 80 yards behind Snead. Next up is Steve McNair, with 31,304 yards.
Excellent anticipation by Glover Quin on that interception of Matt Ryan for a touchdown. Read it perfectly from his free safety spot. Ran in front of the Atlanta receiver like he knew it was coming. That's instincts and tape study there. Also, it's $5,000 in donations by him for Hurricane Harvey relief.
Glover Quin's second-quarter pick-six increased the Lions' chances of winning today by 20%. The Falcons still have a 65% chance to win.
The Lions offense did not look crisp at all. Matthew Stafford's first half completion percentage was high, but it resulted in no touchdowns and only seven first downs. Detroit is in the game because of its defense, but will need more from Stafford in the second half if the Lions want to have a chance against the Falcons.
Anthony Zettel down for the Lions, clutching his right knee. Trainers and other defensive linemen around him now.
Anthony Zettel walking off with assistance of trainers. Getting looked at on the training table now.
Anthony Zettel is officially questionable with a knee injury.
Anthony Zettel back on the field for the Lions.
The Lions defense has been exceedingly opportunistic today. Not missing many chances for big plays at all.
The Lions are used to crazy finishes, but nothing quite like that. Detroit lost to Atlanta on Sunday and it is going to feel like an opportunity missed for a long time. The Lions showed they are playoff contenders but had too many mistakes and fell a half-yard short.
