Detroit Lions - Team Notes

Matthew Stafford against normal rushes Sunday: 80 percent completions, two pressures. Stafford against the blitz? 47 percent completion, six sacks, 12 pressures. First time back-to-back six-sack games since Weeks 7 & 8 of 2015.

Jim Caldwell is saying "check the report" on all Matthew Stafford injury questions. If the info isn't on the report? "You're out of luck," Caldwell said. Caldwell did say he's sore like a lot of other players.

Jim Caldwell on his offense: "At this point, we need to improve on everything." He also include defense and special teams on that.

Jim Caldwell: "We just can't have the kind of lapse that we had in the middle." Believes his team played well at the start and end.

Jim Caldwell told as a preface to a question: "This might be a weird question." Caldwell: "There's no such thing. [pauses] In this room."

Matthew Stafford wasn't spotted in the locker room Monday (not a huge surprise). Jim Caldwell said earlier Monday that Stafford was "sore," like other players, but offered no other updates. Backup quarterback Jake Rudock said Stafford was "good" on Monday and that they watched film as normal.

Matthew Stafford on WJR Radio in Detroit on if he'll play Sunday: "I don't know. We'll see." Wouldn't say much about his injury but said he is driving home (he hurt his leg/ankle). Said Jim Caldwell will handle all injury questions. Was in a good mood though.

Lions QB Matthew Stafford suffered a sprained ankle and a hamstring injury in Sunday's loss to the Panthers, source says. Plan is for Stafford to see how much he can do in practice this week and try to be ready to play Sunday in New Orleans.
