Jim Caldwell referred to the statement the Lions issued when asked about DeAndre Levy's testimony about CTE in front of Congress earlier this month. In that testimony, he said he received phone calls asking him not to talk about it. The Lions denied those allegations.

The Lions have kept DT Khyri Thornton and cut QB Brad Kaaya. If Kaaya clears waivers he would be a likely practice squad candidate.

Eric Ebron, Golden Tate, Greg Robinson and Emmett Cleary not at open portion of Lions practice.
Glover Quin, Kenny Golladay, Paul Worrilow, T.J. Lang and Rick Wagner all back practicing for Detroit. Quin being out there is a good sign for him.
