Detroit Lions rookie punt returner Jamal Agnew was named to the Pro Football Writers Association's All-NFL team as a punt returner, the only Lions player to make the team. Agnew was also named to the All-NFC team along with Lions cornerback Darius Slay.
Slay was named to the Pro Bowl and was a first-team All-Pro as well by the Associated Press.

The Pro Football Writers of America released their All-NFL, All-NFC and All-AFC teams for the 2017 season. Jamal Agnew is the only Detroit Lions representative to make the All-NFL team, designated as the team’s punt returner. Agnew and Darius Slay made the All-NFC team.
However, Agnew was snubbed by Pro Football Talk’s “Special Teams Rookie of the Year,” and he certainly took notice.
