The Lions have hired Steve Gregory as a defensive assistant. Gregory played college football at Syracuse and in the NFL with San Diego and New England. After retirement he was a special teams quality control coach at Syracuse. That's yet another Patricia assistant with Syracuse ties.

LB Rashaan Evans, a late scratch at Sr. Bowl and who didn't run at combine, didn't run at at the pro day either. Says he'll run later this month in Tuscaloosa.
