New Lions RB LeGarrette Blount said he has a great relationship with new head coach Matt Patricia. Said they had become "really close" during their mutual time in New England. Blount said there's less pressure signing with a team that have the type of relationship he has with Patricia. Said he was excited to hear from the Lions because of Patricia.

New Lions RB LeGarrette Blount, who signed his third straight one-year deal, said contract discussions are "the least of my worries." Said he doesn't mind one-year deals. Cares more about opportunity and whether or not the situation is right.
