Detroit Lions trade Quandre Diggs to Seahawks for fifth-round pick

Well TM is right.. The NFL feels fixed to me. It was so Blatant against the Packers, and yet the League just keeps chugging along in its league wide fixing Complicity. Frustrating as the Lions would been 3-1-1 and still alive. They are toast now in the NFC.

The Diggs thing feels like it was a player verses coaches thing now. Weird.

The Lions are 2-3-1, tough to see how they could be 3-1-1

They are probably toast because they aren't very good and there are a LOT of teams better than them...not because the NFL is fixing games.

Diggs sucks....who cares.

Lions are brutal....our "genious" of a coach thinks he can play defense without causing pressure. Hows that working for ya?

Do whatever you can for the future can youre done this year.

The funny thing is......if you can cover you can bring pressure.

For the first time in as long as I can remember.....we CAN cover. We should be bringing pressure like crazy. Off the corner.....up the middle....5 guys.....6 guys.....shit, bring 7 if you have to.

But we won't. We're going to make Daniel Jones look like Tom Brady. We're going to play man, keep 2 safeties deep (though the Giants don't truly have a deep threat) and give Jones simple pre-snap man to man reads (we don't disguise well) and Tate is going to have a YAC explosion.

and if all that fails...just run a simple crossing route with no pick ....the guy will be wide open.

From an ESPN article previewing each team and their chances to win the SB

Most quietly important player: Quandre Diggs. The free safety was gifted to the Seahawks in a huff by the Lions in midseason, and he immediately stepped in and helped solve one of Seattle's biggest problems. With Diggs on the field, the defense allowed opposing quarterbacks to post a QBR of just 31.2 and intercepted 3.9% of pass attempts, which would have ranked second in the NFL this season. Without Diggs, the Seahawks allowed a QBR of 65.2 and intercepted just 2.1% of opposing pass attempts, which would have ranked 21st.

Diggs was responsible for three interceptions, and the Seahawks badly missed him as he sat out the Cardinals and 49ers losses with a high ankle sprain. He's expected to return for the playoff game against the Eagles, where he could again encounter a stray football. The only quarterback to throw more interceptions on passes between the hashes since the start of 2016 than Carson Wentz (nine) is Eli Manning (10).

Funny, everyone knew this the second they found out......except Quinn. If the trade were for a 2nd or maybe even a 3rd it would be much easier to digest.....but for a pick (low 5th round) with a slightly better than 50% chance of even being in the league in 2 years and a small bit of cap relief......it was a stupid move from the start.
