This topic is for discussing the Pistons on game day. This connects to the live chat occurring in the chat room over here. Message posted in the chat room will appear, and messages posted in this thread will appear in the chat room as well. This will allow for live conversations to take place during the game.

Lakers/Pistons on right now if anyone wants to live chat the game, though it's not exactly exciting to see the Pistons lose by 30+ (seems like that's how it's going to go anyway)

42-62 3 minutes left of first half

....Seems to be working well enough

I’ll follow the game on GameCast. The Pistons can cut into the lead, I’ll turn the game back on.

Didn't realize you guys couldn't actually see the live chat, that's been fixed. If you click on the "Chat" menu button, and then click on "Browse rooms," you can join the room attached to this thread.

Registered users can now view that as well. You guys are still more than welcome to have your separate topics for each game where you post the preview and the score, but this is a means to have somewhere to instant message about whatever game is going on. Think it'll especially be helpful during football season when there's a lot more game chatting going on.

Free agent sharpshooter Malik Beasley plans to sign a one-year, $6 million-plus deal with the Detroit Pistons, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Beasley's agent, Daniel Hazan of Hazan Sports Management, has been negotiating the new deal with Pistons officials.

[Woj] Free agent F Simone Fontecchio has agreed on a two-year, $16 million contract to return to the Detroit Pistons, sources tell ESPN

@Wojespn “Sidney Lowe is joining J.B. Bickerstaff’s coaching staff with the Detroit Pistons, sources tell ESPN. Lowe had been with Bickerstaff as one of his assistants with the Cleveland Cavaliers too.”

A couple decent signings. Both guys can shoot the three. I really like Malik Beasley, but his career has been up and down so far.

[Shams] The Detroit Pistons are claiming F/C Paul Reed off free agency waivers, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Reed is in the second season of a three-year, $24 million deal, and now BBall Paul joins Detroit.

The Detroit Pistons are hiring Luke Walton as the lead assistant on new head coach JB Bickerstaff’s staff, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Walton spent the last two years as an assistant in Cleveland after five-plus seasons as head coach of Lakers and Kings.

Kevin Burleson (Nate's brother - former Lion) has agreed to take an assistant coaching job with J.B. Bickerstaff and the Detroit Pistons, sources tell ESPN. Burleson spent the past two years as the Rockets’ G League head coach. He’s also had stops with Minnesota and Memphis.

Luke Walton is an awesome hire. Don't know anything about Kevin Burleson, but G League head coaching experience will probably be useful working with all these young guys. I'd be curious what the salary difference is between being a G League head coach and a NBA assistant coach.

[Shams] Detroit Pistons No. 37 pick Bobi Klintman is signing a four-year, $7.99 million rookie contract, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. First two seasons are fully guaranteed for the big man.

Kind of crazy how unimpressive his stats were in college and the NBL. I have trouble believing he'll be anything other than a G Leaguer. They got him from Minnesota for nothing, so it was a no brainer though.
