Detroit Tigers Team Notes Over 3 Million Views!!! Thankyou!

The last Tigers mgr to get the team to 1st place 3 years in a row was Jennings, 1907-1909. Leyland is next.

Congratulations to @MiguelCabrera and @Max_Scherzer on being named the Tigers player and pitcher of the month, respectively for August.

Scherzer was 4-0 with a 2.50 ERA and 37 strikeouts in 6 starts in August.
Cabrera hit .356 with 5 doubles, 11 homers and 31 RBI in 27 games.

Most HR in 2013 with 2 strikes:
Chris Davis 17
J Upton, Cabrera 13
Beltre, McCann 11

Current World Series odds from Bovada LV: Dodgers 13/4; Tigers 19/4; Braves 13/2; Red Sox 15/2; Rangers 10/1; Pirates 11/1; Cardinals 11/1.

Via Elias: Victor Martinez hasn't struck out in his last 75 plate appearances, which is the longest streak in Baseball this year.

Dombrowski on 2013 #Tigers compared to 2012 team: "It's a better team. Our rotation is deeper with 4 premium guys, we're scoring more runs."

Dombrowski on Verlander struggles: It has mechanics attached to it & it gets into a guys' mind. Mechanics have been a little bit off #Tigers

No Cabrera in Tigers lineup. Fielder, Martinez move up. Kelly starts at 3B.

Leyland on Miguel Cabrera: "He's a little sore today, so I didn't play him."
