Cabrera has bone spurs in his ankle, needs offseason surgery
ESPN reported that Miguel Cabrera has bone spurs in ankle and will have surgery in the offseason.
Tigers said they have not made any official decisions on whether Miguel Cabrera will undergo offseason surgery on his ankle.
Foot doctor tells sportswriter if an athlete's mobility is limited -- Miggy's certainly is -- bone spurs should come out ASAP to avoid a worse injury.
Normal recovery time is 4 - 6 weeks.

Miguel Cabrera is the second Tigers player to have 7 straight seasons with at least 100 RBI. The other is Harry Heilmann from 1923-29.
