NOTABLE

*Justin Upton is hitting .169 with three home runs and five RBIs in May, while Nicholas Castellanos is batting .187 with one home run this month.

*Norris is making his ninth start of the season. He allowed a season-high five earned runs on seven hits in 5 2/3 innings against Texas in his last start.

*Norris has never faced Houston in his career. Carlos Beltran (1 for 3) and Juan Centeno (0 for 2) are the only current Astros who have at-bats against him.

*This is Morton's first season in the American League after spending the first nine years in the National League.

*Morton has allowed four earned runs in each of his past two starts. He has struck out 59 in 50 2/3 innings this season.

* Tyler Collins, who got the night off on Tuesday, homered twice in Detroit on May 17 to break out of an 0-for-30 slump. In six games since then, he's 0-for-15 with eight strikeouts.

Alex Avila, recently one of the hottest hitters in baseball, struck out in all four at-bats on Monday night.

* Nicholas Castellanos is 0-for-11 with six strikeouts in the last three games and is hitting just .187 in the month of May.

* Justin Upton is 0-for-12 with seven strikeouts in his last four games. He's batting .169 in May.

* Jose Iglesias is just 6-for-48 (.125) in his last 12 games.
