Detroit Tigers Team Notes Over 3 Million Views!!! Thankyou!

Tigers seem fairly optimistic Cabrera will be ready for opening day. He'll have another CT scan next week to check healing of fracture.

Leyland on Cabrera, who will be re-checked Mon or Tues: "It all sounds good — but I’ll be satisfied when he’s in the three-hole, playing."

Leyland on Cabrera: "Let me put it this way: ... If we get medical clearance, he’ll be in the lineup Opening Day."

Don't count out Duane Below in race for Tigers' 5th starter (with Smyly, Oliver). Below starts tomorrow vs. Yankees.

Leyland on Duane Below: "If he was out of the mix, he wouldn't be starting tomorrow.
Mario

Leyland on Doug Fister's right middle finger injury: "He?s going to be fine."

That's good news. We need Fister.

When it happened, I got kind of worried, thinking blister or worse, a circulation problem....but after reading he had this with while with the mariners, I kind of get the feeling it is 'maybe' from the grip of a certain pitch?

Tigers lose 4-2 in 10 innings. Split squad tomorrow with one in Lakeland versus the Phillies and one in Tampa versus the Yankees.
