Detroit Tigers Team Notes Over 3 Million Views!!! Thankyou!

Ron

What former Tiger was recently suspended for around 50 games? I can't find the story. Got a link anywhere?

No hurry Ron! It's Good Friday and I'm headed-out to church (12-3). I'll say a prayer for the (unknown) suspended one...lol

In other news, everyone's favorite whiny-butt "why did we let this guy go for peanuts?" story from last year - Matt Joyce just got the golden sombrero in the Rays' opening day game today. 0-4 4K.

Wonder why he started against lefty C.C. Sabathia?
Did you see Mariano Rivera's blown save? - surrendering the walk-off single to Carlos Pena.

Sorry, I left after the last post for the day and evening.
and I kind of remember an ex-Tigers player getting suspended for something, but don't remember who. Went through several back pages of Tigers at mlbtraderumors, and at TigsTown thinking it was a minor leaguer/cupofcoffeeplayer..nothing.

according to the Elias Sports Bureau:

Four pitchers, including Tigers starter Justin Verlander, threw at least seven innings and allowed two hits in their starts Thursday. It is the first time four pitchers have thrown at least seven innings and allowed no more than two hits in starts on the same day since Sept. 27, 1986.

Verlander is just the second Cy Young Award winner to throw eight or more shutout innings in his first start of the next season. Randy Johnson, who threw a six-hit shutout in his first start of the 2002 season, is the other.
