Detroit Tigers Team Notes Over 3 Million Views!!! Thankyou!

Jhonny Peralta
Coming off a 21 home run season, a bit more was expected of the pudgy shortstop. Through 15 games he has zero home runs and five runs batted in, though he does have seven doubles. His BABIP is .326 but his OBP is .298 thanks to a 5.3% walk rate. He?s a better hitter than that. Even in his worst year his walk rate was above seven percent. He?ll need his power to return, though, if he?s going to have much fantasy value. He doesn?t steal bases so he relies heavily on extra base hits to keep his head afloat. A 15 homer, 75 RBI campaign may be more realistic than the 21/86 he put up last season. If he struggles a little while longer he could turn into a nice buy-low candidate if a frustrated owner makes a rash decision.

To everyone that reads the Tigers team notes...
Some of the more regular readers of the all Tigers news thread 24/7 might have noticed the past couple of months I am here early, and then gone for hours...many hours at a time...
and I realize that all of you behind the screen names all have real life drama and every day stuff to deal with as well. Everyone of us has 5 bags of crap to deal with.
I am letting all of you know today, because of all the reading activity here and I just feel I owe all of you and explanation with this 5 1/2 year running thread.

There has been an ongoing drama at my old mom's place since mid January. Had to do have some work done at her residence. While this was going on, some building construction was being done outside on the structure, frames, walkways, etc. Building code violations, nailing/blocking a door entrance to and from each apt. and the previous contractor with a complete lack of smarts and illegal putting 'newspaper' into the structurewalls/walkways before pouring cement. This crew using saws hit the 10 year old paper within and ignited them causing fires in my mothers apt. in the kitchen as well as two other apts. along with smoke in many others. No mgmt. co. offers to find anyone temporary accomodations.
All this time, she stayed with a long time neighbor another elderly lady. All the while up to the past week, her apt. finally was restored back to normal. But for the past week both have been sick with colds etc. So yesterday, I get a call that the neighbor was taken by ambulance to a hospital, blood clots in a lung and leg... and my mom was told by the emt's she needed to go too after seeing her coughing between words and trouble breathing. I got the call 3:00 yesterday and left to meet her at the emergency ward. She was intibated/intubated overnight, and is now also in ICU with copd, bronchial asthma, and possible congestive heart failure. I will be back there in awhile and from the Doctor's morning report, think she will return by the weekend. Thankfully she was breathing better and all vital numbers bp etc. are good.
So with all this on my plate, I will be here, or not, to post irregularly on this and the minors thread, but I am in all likelihood not doing any Game Threads for the rest of this week.
Thanks, KC Ron
