Against a good Atlanta team

Atlanta shot lights out, but I think GS beats them in a 7 game series.

Draymond is a star, he's going to get a Max deal this off season. He is the smartest player in the league and just wins. One of the warrior assistants said it best, "you divide the teams up in practice it a scrimmage, Draymond's team wins every time." He does so much out there on the floor that the stat sheet misses. So often he dictates the pace and the spacing on offense, he sets the picks, blocks out, plays incredible D on PGs through centers. He'll make the pass that leads to the pass that leads to a layup.

I am really surprised, I wasn't sure he was a good enough athlete to be good in the NBA, but he's one if the best players on the court every night. His 11 points and 8 boards a game isn't all that impressive, but advanced metrics like +\- and wins added show he's one if the top 10-15 players in the NBA. I think he adds 10+ wins to list teams over te course of a season. Put him in the Pistons and they'd be 3rd in the East IMO.

He'll be restricted.....but he want's to play in Detroit next year. Might take a max deal.....but the Pistons will have the room and really, what other "star" is going to want to come to Detroit?

Get it done SVG!!!

Elite defender, can play multiple positions, doesn't demand the ball, and can hit open shots at a high rate. What's not to like about him? The Pistons still really lack that high end, consistent shot creator that the best teams have, but Green-Monroe-Drummond (or just Green-Drummond) would still be a great place to start.

He's the best defensive player in the NBA and can and does guard 1-5. Probably guards Chris Paul better than most PGs in the league and definitely guards Zach Randolph better than any PF in the league. More than any player on the Warriors he makes those around him better.

His defensive prowess is shocking to me. He had tweener written all over him coming into the league. Not big enough to guard PFs, not quick enough for wings or guards. But he's able overcome all that with smarts.

I sure hope SVG goes after him.. Getting a guy like him who wants to play for Detroit would be a huge get for the Pistons.

14-12-5 last night, GS was +24 with him on the floor

I haven't heard anything from Xer0 lately calling Draymond "the worst player in the league," must be hiding under his rock again

First of all, Fuck Michigan State. Fuck Izzo. Fuck all Green and White.

Now that that's out of the way....Draymond Green is quickly becoming one of my favorite players.....

I dont watch the NBA anymore unless it was previous playoffs hoping Miami would lose. I just saw GS is 39-2 at home,

Fyi green didn't win dpoy this year but he did get the most first place votes? 45 to 37

Watching him guard the best big man in the league right now. He got robbed.

Damn I used to love the NBA, funny how you stop caring when your favorite team becomes garbage and favorite players get traded/retire

I quit watching when Jordan left. I do watch some playoff games (hoping the heat would lose the last few years). I hope Green can win a ring. When he was being recruited by MSU I wasnt that high on him given his 3 star status in his Jr year. He went to 4 by his senior year. I assumed he wouldnt be able to run at an MSU level, I was more wrong than I ever imagined.

Expansion was the beginning of the end for me. Pretty much stopped watching after the chicago thugs beat the Pistons in the eastern conference final in '91.

Green would be a great addition to the Pistons so long as he's utilized properly. What's made him so valuable this year is not just the defense (and he totally should have won DPOY), it's the fact that he's finally making defenses pay for overcommitting to Curry/Thompson. He's still not a great shooter or driver by any means, but he hits enough shots to be efficient (54% TS) and force the defense to stay on him. That part would be a lot harder with the Pistons, but absolutely something the team could figure out.
