Drew Coleman released by Jags

Don't really see him as anything better than Phonso or Lacey. At least those two are a couple years younger.

They seem to prefer developing guys rather than signing a stop gap. They drafted a 3rd round nickel back, hope he plays to their expectations.

Prediction: Bentley will be the starting CB sometime in 2012. And it won't be because of injuries. He's more than a nickle. Especially on this team.

never heard of him. Throw bentley to the fire opposite Houston. phonso covering the slot where he can do the only thing he does well...be a ball hawk. We dont need CBs because we have the best dline in the NFL....remember?!

I still think Aaron Berry will have a good year. I know I'm in the minority on this but I think he's the starter opposite Houston and he never gives it up.

Hahahaha!!!!!!! Berry might be the most overrated player on the Lions.

Count me in that minority. I hate Berry but that is who the FO is counting on IMO, giving more credence to looking at cb in the third. Starters for me are Houston, Berry, and Bentley covering the slot. Holy crap lp we agree on something.

And we're probably the only two, lol

Everybody liked Berry until the final game of last year. He dropped 2 sure INT`s and wasn`t sorry about it. He acted like a fn prick about it actually.

I actually like him a bit. He needs to man-up though....

For me, I just hear fans who are saying they're looking forward to good things from Berry and we wait and wait and wait. I guess I haven't seen anything yet from him. But he was un-drafted so maybe he was just raw?

Berry will develop. Last year was his first year actually playing. He was out his entire rookie year. So he has shown flashes but needs to keep getting better.

He's raw, I don't see him as a 1 or 2 but more of a nickel, which was why I was surprised to see us take a CB in the 3rd and have the coaches say they see him as a nickel. What do we got going into the season so far? Houston a great #2 playing as a 1 and a grip of nickel backs. Hopefully in June we can get a solid #2.

Well, last year was his first year, really. During his rookie year, he got hurt week 1 and missed the season.

Corners take time to develop.

As with many players on this team, this year is everything for him.

Well, he was the #3 corner, but when he came in, he played outside and Wright slid into the slot.

Berry has skills but the game and the moment overwhelms him at this point, he's scared to make big plays which he may or may not get over. The good news is that he is there when the big plays could be made. Get him a sports psych and he'll be fine IMO.

Yeah, the twitter stuff was pretty bad, lol. Basically ripped the fans.

Seriously WTF, I supported Berry months ago here and got ripped to shreds with no support. Where were all of you? LOL
