Elder Scrolls V : Skyrim

I lost that cunt on my first visit to the greybeards. Some ice troll did something with her cause she gone. Playing this game makes me feel like some pop diva, all I spend my time doing is managing my weight.

Go to the Steed Stone near Solace and use it - increases your carrying capacity by 100 I think and makes it so you have no movement penalty from wearing armor.

They put excess dps on whatever you're fighting, and sometimes soak up some damage against some of the harder boss mobs. Usually they end up kneeling down with no life while you do most of the work, but whatever.

If nothing else, use 'em as pack mules to carry your shit around in between trips to town.

If I could call them on command. When I get done with a cave or dungeon and they show up and carry shit for me. But, as I mentioned this before, as someone who sneaks up behind everyone - they get in my way.

You can command them to wait outside of a dungeon for you. Then dump shit on them when you get out.

And of course the 100 point skill for sneak is awesome. If someone is near me, chasing me I can use my left control and right away they're like "where'd you go, you can't hide from me" even though they're right in front of me. So they'll start looking around like they never saw me in the first place. It works well. I can rehealth if need be and attack again.

I suppose I could do that. But I like to walk to most things and sneak my way through the fields and shit and I'm not sure I want them tagging around.

Ya they are not stealthy.

I think there is a Thieves guild or Dark Brotherhood companion you can take with you once you've completed those story lines. I read there was anyways... probably better options than Lydia, or one of the Companions.

that's just speculation though. I can almost guarentee that no npc is going to be able to match your ability to disappear, or remain invisible. Pretty much all of them are going to blow your cover. lol

I mean when you go sneak, the npc goes sneak also... just they don't get any of the Standing Stones bonus' that the player gets, and they can't rank up their sneak either...

All the companions i've been using in this save are similar to my character - heavy armor, high melee damage output, with an emphasis on survivability.

If you were to grab a Thieves Guild or Dark Brotherhood companion, my guess is they move more quietly. Equiping light armor as opposed to the Dragon Armor I'm putting on my people probably plays a factor too

If you do dick around with a thief or assassin companion, lemme know if they're quieter. I'm gonna play a rogue next time through.

Yeah. If I was a heavy armor 2 handed weapon high health guy I might bring someone along.

They do sneak when I sneak but they always get spotted before I do. And I want to sneak past someone, forget about it. But I'm enjoying it with just me :)

I was bumping around with the dog for a while but it sucked with no carrying capacity and the little fucker would always get in the way and in tight quarters it pissed me off so I sent him home.

Lydia takes hate rather easily but then again im only lvl 11 at the moment.

Have you fought Kronis? (sp). Hes some undead guy that pops out of the coffin right before you get a shout. What lvl can you kill him at? I beat him once but it was through a glitch and i just so happened to accidently kill Lydia with a blizzard scroll that fight so i didnt want to save and lose all my gear to a pile of ashes lol

Whats the best way to get rid of all these heavy dragon items im lugging around at this low of a lvl? Just sell them for now or is there a lower lvl craft recipe i can use? i havent really started skilling any crafts yet....

I think something to do with some type of armor crafting. I don't know because I seldom craft.

I'm a 17 and I have been selling them up to this point. I finally got a place at the college of winterhold so I fast travel back and forth and just store my stuff there (gold and dragon stuff). I've found that when you kill a dragon if you take what you can carry then fast travel when you return the dragon is gone so you can't get what you didn't originally take, but if you take it all and then drop it it will still be there when you come back less 1 item.

You can craft Dragon Armor once you get to 100 Smithing Skill. If you aren't going to work smithing, then no point in hanging on to them. Just sell them off.

Best thing to do with them if you're going to work smithing and just don't wanna carry them around is drop the 5k on a house and dump them into a chest in there.

btw it's possible to get the house for free

If you go to Whiterun and talk to the old dude there who's standing near the Jarl, ask him about houses to make sure it's the right guy... Then just wait till like 2am when he's asleep

Go to his bedroom, and open up his little night stand. Then talk to him. Get all the way to the point where you have the option to agree to pay the 5k for the house, then before you select that, move all your gold into his nightstand. Then click yes, to buy the house. You get keys, no money comes out cuz you don't have it, then just grab your money out of the nightstand and off you go.

Of course, 5k really isn't that much cash... but maybe it helps if you're lower level and broke...

Oh, and you have to have the 5k for this bug to work. If you don't, you can get the conversation option to agree to buy. Just make sure you move your gold before you hit ok.
