Elusiveness rating

It's based on missed tackles and yards after contact. It's not like it's somebody's opinion, it's math.

but that doesnt matter. Mitch hasnt 'seen enough' of Bell to make that assessment

Did anyone actually read the article this was from last year AND, and...Isaac Redman is the number 2 most elusive back...*sad trumpet sound*.

It's not supposed to be a predictor of future performance.

I never said it was. Isaac Redman is more has more 'elusiveness' (is that even a word) than a guy who ran for more than 2,000 yards last year. This stat embiggens my doubt.

The sample sizes are questionable, I'll give you that. I doubt Redman's rating would be that high after 250 more carries.

Some stats are more manufactured than others like ESPN's QBR. Peyton Manning throws the most TDs in one game since the 60s and Andy Dalton has a better rating. I'm not saying Bell isn't a load to bring down though he is a tough runner.

I really liked what Bell was able to do last week. He runs hard! Maybe it has something to do with him actually needing to prove himself vs. other guys that get drafted high and think that all they need to do is show up.

They're questionable to someone else but to me I have to go back to the film room..

It only came to mind because I vaguely remember some poster on the old ESPN boards talking about how he watched film, or needed to watch more film...needless to say, Slick and co. ripped him apart.

Wonder why Slick doesn't post here much..I thought he'd be back for Football season for sure.
