EMU is 1 win away from bowl eligibility

Don't look now but EMU might be going to a bowl. They probably need to win the final two games to get to a bowl but it could happen. They're sitting with 6 wins now (two over non div1a teams so only 1 counts towards bowl eligibility). The MAC gets 3 bowl bids and it's possible they could get more at-large bids. I think it would be fun to watch them in a bowl so I'm secretly kind of rooting for them. It would be nice for Mike Hart and English to succeed there.

I noticed they were doing pretty well and was thinking about posting a thread myself. Would take some wacky events but Eastern is still in the hunt to go to the MAC Championship game.

Yours are two of the more off-putting sigs on this board, IMO.

I'm just saluting Nebraska, and welcoming them to the B1G and their newest intra-divisional rivalry.

Go Blue!!

I have signatures turned off so nothing ridiculous pops up at work. Turned them back on for a second, aaaand turning them back off.

Nice, M&B. What's with the guy chopping wood though?

And you're one i away from spelling eligibility.
Sorry, I typed it on my phone this morning while I was pooping lol. TMI? Notice I spelled it correctly in the actual post.

Chopping wood = Manly.

Oh, I thought there might have been a thread I missed.

I'm not sure I understand the presumed insult here....

It's from a classic Monty Python sketch.

As a special treat, this rendition was performed live at the Hollywood Bowl - or at least it was according to whomever posted it to youtube.

Enjoy!!!

thanks for the tip DR. I think I'll only go with "view sigs" on the weekends, and then only to see what Tinsel, Vic, or Marlo put up.

Yeah, turning off Sigs make the page load twice as fast too, at least on my iPad.

And that was no presumed insult, it was just pretty damn clever and I didn't expect you'd get it necessarily.

My understanding is that Ron English is a bad coach. So if EMU is playing well, it must be simply because he has managed to recruit better talent than the teams he's beaten so far this year, and he managed to do that in spite of being a bad coach.

You're not just trying to say what everybody else is thinking about them, are you?

They're not even his recruits; the upperclassman who are turning it around are the recruits of whomever it was that was there before English.

So English not only sucks as a coach but he hasn't proven he can recruit any talent either.

or maybe the MAC is getting worse and he's played 2 fcs teams...

he started out 0-12, so anything is an improvement. He might just get EMU to be a middle-of-the-road MAC team in another 3 or 4 years.

4-2 in the MAC with two games left, so arguably they're a middle of the road MAC this season.

That doesn't mean they're going to consistently be a middle of the road MAC team going forward, it will take another 3 or 4 years to ascertain that.
