SO you don't buy candy for the kids specifically so you can take a few here or there as you pass it out?

Believe it or not, if I want to eat candy I just go and buy some. I don't need to wait for Halloween to roll around to skim off the top.
Same here on all counts. I usually leave the bowl out at the end and it gets cleaned out by the kids that show up last minute. Its always older kids so I figure it ensures my house never gets vandalized.TheVictors03 said:Our neighborhood is absolutely INSANE on Halloween night .... but our block itself isn't as busy so in the past we've had way too much left over. I think we have it about right now.
When I was in HS in TC and no longer out trick-or-treating, we'd get 300 kids, easy.
Now we're more like 15, maybe. But watching the little dude out and about -- he was so excited this morning that he could dress up for school, he was up at 6am and wouldn't go back to sleep.

Jever4321 said:Well I definitely am more generous with the cute little squirts, but also as it gets later and I realize I bought waaaay too much candy I start doling it out by the fistful, then leave the bowl on the front step for whoever is lucky enough to stop late.
