Watching MLB Network the other day and one old timer claimed Bob Feller got clocked at 113 mph using whatever methods they used back circa 1940.

lol
[color=#006400 said:KalineCountry[/color]]There was an old film of Feller and a driver on a motorcycle reaching a speed of 108 mph both reaching the homeplate at the same time.
I haven't seen or heard of the 113 mph, not that it didn't happen.
113, 108, Zoom at 105/106, chapman about the same, any pitch over 100 is damn fast.
Feller did say that Walter Johnson was the fastest,
who knows...
How could 100 mph translate to 62 kmh when a kilometer is smaller than a mile? Your conversion and math is off.. It converts to roughly 161 Kmh if rounded off..johnny2x2x said:Forever basball people have been saying 100 mph is the limit that starts to destroy an arm. BS. It's just a number, you don't hear anyone saying 62 Kmh is the limit, 100 mph = 62 kmh, it's just an arbitrary number.
Doubt if any of those old timers threw over 100 mph, training is so much more advanced today.
