Looks like UM will be #9? MSU #10 and Wisky #11???

Do those seem right to anyone else? Guess we'll find out soon enough, but it will be interesting to see if UM ends up with highest B1G ranking this year.

After they beat Alabama to start the season, hopefully they are ranked top 5 all year and win it all in the end!

Go Blue!!!

Well, being as Alabama is the alleged national champion, and shit, you would have thought M would get to the top 5 with a win.

AP has them reversed with MSU being higher than U of M. The debate will rage all summer, until we play again.

Wild. Sagarin's Predictor had us finishing 9th almost all season long. It was one of the few things that never changed...

You guys beat us this year, I have no problem with you being 1 spot ahead of Michigan.

MSU can't wait to play us in 2012... "five in a row!" and all that.

Remember, they totally killed us this year: the game was 21-14 up until 4 minutes to go... total whooping...

It is therefore only logical that they will kill us by even more points next year, on the road, despite losing their all-time passing leader, their #1 WR, their #2 WR (who had 2 TDs against us), and likely first round draft pick Jerel Worthy...

Losing to 0-2 .... no, getting your ass kicked by 0-2 noter dame is what will stain the Sparty 2011 season. That and losing to a Nebraska team that looked worse as the year went on and losing to Wisky after tying them the first time around. Win one more game and there is no "debate"

I have no problem with the rankings... Ones has MSU ahead by one and one has Michigan ahead by one... Sounds about right given both of their records and how close the game was played contrary to what MSU fans think.. I am very happy with Brady's 11-2 record after the debacle of the Rich rod era..

Sparty's win over Georgia > our win over Virginia Tech. They were bound to jump us. Regardless, in the record books, we had the best win.

...man I hope they start lining Denard up under center. The offense runs so much better. A win over Bama puts everyone on notice.

Agreed. I can see voters going either way, especially after the bowl games. No complaints here.

Why is MSU beating UGA better than Michigan beating Vatech? Are you falling for that SEC bullshit, too?

VaTech was #11 in the nation and Georgia is the Illinois of the SEC ....and were ranked lower, being a THREE LOSS team like Sparty was.

SEC Bullshit? How many national championships in a row have they won? How many wins does the big 10 and ACC have against SEC competition in that span? The fact is that Georgia is viewed by just about everyone involved as a superior over VaTech. I'm not sure if that's true, but that's the view from most experts and is one reason why sparty could be ranked ahead of us. I also don't think it matters if Tech is ranked higher than Georgia (haven't looked at them in the polls yet), Georgia is still going to be looked as a superior because of the competition they played and that they ended up with 10 wins.

And no, I don't think we'd lose to Georgia. But we didn't play Georgia, we played VaTech.

SEC fatcats created the BCS to prevent B10, Pac10 and B12 teams from winning a title, without playing an SEC team. Arguably, USC is the most prolific BCS-era program ... of all the SEC wins, more than one are debatable and teams like LSU beating a fraudulent OU, rather than facing the #1 ranked USC...

Yeah, well, $3.75 and that gets you a crappy cup of coffee.

actually, there's a coffee shop in my neighborhood that has pretty good coffee for $2.75/cup. Plus you get 2 hours of WiFi with any purchase.

also, Dunkin Donuts coffee is decent, and it's $2.00 for a medium.

...but I agree with you on the collusion aspect.

Delaney's move with the PAC-12 was interesting to me. I thought the move to super conferences would force all 5 or 6 of them to finally come together for a +1 or a playoff, but this essentially says, "you bums can have your little southern fiefdom all to yourselves. We'll take our much larger media markets, and keep you out of them."

kinda tells me the SEC has too much clout w/the NCAA to attack them directly and force changes in the bowl system... however, you look at the demographics... there's a lot more money (and class, and decent human beings) in the Great Lakes region, California, Wash, and Oregon than SEC land. We'll just leverage that against them, since they are otherwise out-cheating everyone.

Yes, SEC bullshit. "THEY" all say the SEC is great, but what I see is 5 good teams and 7 mediocre-to-shitty teams. Then with the exception of LSU v Oregon, they line up d2 teams for their OOC. I don't think that UGA (the 5th best SEC team, don't buy this SEC runner-up bs being put out there) is not better than what was arguably the ACC's best team. They lost to Clemson. That's it. Sure, Clemson looked like shit in their bowl game and surely because team a beat team b and team b lost to team c, then team a isn't that good, right? more bullshit. I don't give a damn what the so-called 'experts' say. They are paid to say that bs. They are probably directed to say that bs. I use my own head.
