Finally, I was able to get Directv hooked up, which comes with NFL SUNDAY TICKET! I've had to watch streaming games for the last five or six years or spend money at the sports bar to watch the games with retarded 49er and Raider fans who are drunk before they even get there. It's insane.

Probably not an important topic to any of you, but I wanted to share my enthusiasm for this season...

Wait until next season when the Sunday Ticket is costing $300 plus.

Congrats nonetheless..

Were none of the 49er fans drunk at the beginning of the games?

Or what about the retarded Raid?rs fans?

Sounds like you're stereotyping a little.

Nevertheless sounds like you're going to avoid a LOT of gay wedding after parties.

Not stereotyping at all. Both teams' fans are obnoxious in that setting. Not all, but enough to make me not want to go.

Congrats man. Since I moved I have been a streamer myself for the past couple years. Its a cheap substitute, but you get what you pay for.

I fulfilled my original contract with Direct TV, now I agree to 1yr terms and get the Ticket free every year.

I currently pay under $60 a month, have the Choice package with Show Time.

I find that a lot fans that go to a bar to watch their team are obnoxious. There are normal fans too....but they don't stand out because they aren't drawing attention to themselves.

I think that's a good general statement for most sports fans in most situations. I watch a lot of big games from a sports bar with my friends.....85% of people are cool.....there to watch a game....have a drink....ect.

The other 15% are dickheads that will do anything to draw attention to themselves or the fact their team is winning/just scored/made a big play.

But the same could be said for people at a stadium too. I love going to Lions games in Chicago.....fans are pretty damn cool. However, one year (two years ago) we sat next to a group of guys that were pretty cool at first......kept telling my buddy and I (wearing Lions gear) that we should try covering Alshon Jeffery. All game. We played along......made some jokes at our own expense (Slay was a rookie.....sucked ass that game).

Stafford finds CJ in the corner of the endzone - http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/0ap2000000279454/Week-10-Lions-vs-Bears-highlights - past Tillman for the game winner with about 2 min left......I turn to the guys and mention that they should cover #81.....he's a decent WR. Next thing I know one of the guys lunges at me like he wants to tear my head from by body. His buddies stop him but he continues to be pissed even after the game.

Oh, and these guys weren't really drinking. I mean, I didn't track their every sip but I didn't see any of them order more than 2 maybe 3 beers.

Fuckin Bears fans!!!

Yeah, I was hoping to do that, too. I figured there was a way to do it, so thanks. I'm just hoping that next year, they'll let me pay off the $300 in installments. August/September is a bad time of the year for me, money-wise.

When Trump gets elected you'll be able to pick up some extra cash doing part time work in the fields of the Central Valley.

That's what I'm planning to do.

Although I plan to hang closer to Bakersfield or Fresno.

Can you get me in on that? I could use some work in the fields right about now..

Can I ask how? I've had Directv here about 2 1/2 years. I can't muster the cost this season for Sunday Ticket..

Did you renew your contract after the two years? Or are you still operating without a contract? If you don't have a contract, call them up, tell them that you want Sunday Ticket for free or you'll switch to Comcast/whatever cable company you can think of since the only reason you have Directv is for Sunday ticket. You have a lot of leverage since you can cancel your service at any time.

If you still have a contract in place, they might still be able to break up the total cost into installments.

I used to have ATT Uverse and every single year, I'd call them, tell them I wanted to renew my contract - but that I wouldn't do it unless they hooked me up with an amazing deal. This past year, I had every single movie channel, the second highest package for about $65 before taxes. They gave me over $60 in credits.

Not sure. How do you renew contract after two years, I never told them that. Anyway is there a way to find out online. Thanks.

As far as threatening to quit I always feel they'd say "okay, go ahead." Lol. Cut out my baseball package as well so no more Tigers, at least for the rest of this season..

You don't have to be threatening. Just call and ask them to transfer you to their customer retention department. Tell whoever they transfer you to that you are thinking of switching. Ask them what deals they can offer you, often that may just be enough.

exactly what Cheeno said below. Just tell them you want to renew your contract and see if they can hook you up with Sunday Ticket again. It's to their advantage if you are on contract, because if you try to leave, they can slap you with fees. Off contract, you can leave anytime you want to and they're screwed out of money. That's why they usually will bend over backward to make sure you agree to a new contract.

Now, if you always pay your bill late and you've been a horrible customer, they might not care.

Remember how when you first signed up for DTV, that it said your package was like $49.99 for 12 months? or whatever price it was. That's only half of the original contract which is 24 months. So when that 24 has expired, you're still paying full price for DTV. But when you get back on contract, they'll give you a new deal that may be similar to your original one. This is the same with your cell phone service.

They have 5 games on National TV? Add in the Arizona game which would be local here might be enough if I don't get the Sunday Ticket.

I pull the ol' cancel trick on Sirius every 5 or 6 months to get the best deal but if they tell me ok then its no big loss. I can't do it with directv out of fear that they actually will cancel. I pay $60 a month for Sunday ticket for like 6 months.

Just like the rest of us, you're going to have to wait until Trump get elected and kicks all the illegals out of the field.

Then just come out to the California Central Valley and apply in any field you want to. You are going to need to bring valid right to work documentation.

Meanwhile the Tigers just got themselves one run closer to making the rest of the season relatively meaningless.
