This lamont just seems so disinterested in what he is supposed to do as the third base coach, he sends runners more often than not when they should stop at third, and holds runners at third when they could score. This scenario plays out more often than not.
Leyland-lamont-mcclendon joined at the hip and brain like siamese 'triplets'.

Lamont may have cost us game 2, I think Santiago would have scored and even if he didn't I wouldn't have argued given the situation. Cabby had no chance to score and if it were Austin Jackson I still think most good 3rd base coaches hold him. Lamont knows that Cruz has a cannon. I doubt that cost us the game tonight, but who knows. It's entirely possible that Gene Lamont has cost us 2 games in the ALCS and with a better 3rd base coach we could be up 3-1 and on the cusp of the WS.

Inexcusable and if he comes back as 3rd base coach next year I'm going to start a protest.

1. Young should not be playing. He is hurt and can Hardly run .. Bad fielder and hitting cost at least 2-3 runs
2. Throwing 300 pitches to first base was dumb.. You could see porcello fading. (you had a 2-2 count on young)
3. Sending Miguel from third.. How dumb was that? Even Rickey Henderson is thrown out.
4. Young should have been lifted for Kelly. Hurt player verses hottest hitter Lefty/right. Beltre may play in a step
with Kelly batting who knows.
5. Walking 0-4 Beltre who is hurt is beyond laughable for Napoli that hittest hitter in september in baseball
that was so stupid. You pitch to Adrian and Mike...
6. Jose Valverde second inning... HELLO NON-SAVE. HE PITCHED ONE GOOD INNING. TWO IS ASKING FOR IT.
Maybe they can start hitting and win three in a row... 68 tigers did..

I doubt that.. He might have been out, but it wasn't that bang bang compared to tonight.. ANd you take your chances in a road game like that.. It was much closer than you suggest..

Never cared for either Lamoron or Leyland's coaching staff, since he came here. "Llegendary" Lloyd McClendon is worthless as well. Only his first base coaches were okay, wish that Brookens was their 3B coach instead.
