Flynn resigns

this article has more including what appears to be some pretty damning evidence that Trump knew Flynn was feeding info to the Russians about sanctions... he tweeted that very same day (!!!) that Putin was "smart" not to respond to any US sanctions and wait it out.

What the fuck?

America first! Except for Russia, because Trump owes them money...

as an aside, it is pretty funny how revealing Trump's tweets are.

Someone posted that his tweet attacking Nordstrom's for dropping his daughter's clothing line came at 10:51... he was supposedly in a national security briefing at 10AM. I guess he cut it short, so he could take care of the peoples' business.

Getting started with what?? Building stupid walls that will cost the American people 20 some billion dollars? Hiring cabinet members who reek of corruption and ineptitude? Making nice with the Russians but basically shitting on every other country? Throwing out MUSLIM BANS (YES, this is what it is) on countries without actually doing any research on who is doing the terrorist acts?

Yeah, great time to be alive.

. . . and all that affects you in what specific way? Oh wait, I know, you are embarrassed to be an American.

No you don't have to be "specifically affected" to complain and whine about it, I just find the anger to be a bit over the top sometimes.

It is exciting, on some level, because we will now see if this American Republic has the wherewithal to withstand even this presidency.

I've started converting some of my dollars to rubles.

Oh, and I'm trying to get used to vodka, and horrible tasting sausages.

That's been hard, though.

Sounds pretty easy to me. No hardship there. Keep up the good work. The affectation should diminish from there.

You might end paying more of your hard earned money to fix all this "stuff", but a small price to pay wouldn't you agree?

Well, the hard part is that vodka tastes like foul tasting medicine to me.

So does Russian sausage, actually.

But I will persevere.

Well put juice in the Vodka, and make tons of pasta slathered in butter and tomato sauce with lots of spices so the taste is hidden. Works for me.

For starters, $20 billion divided by 320 million people is around $60.

. . . and you don't blow that in a night out with the wife for Friday dinner?

Let's start a calculator and keep a running total. Although you can't count the $60 until the money is actually spent.

Maybe I'll just do the butter and tomato sauce.

All the vodka is too many carbs as it is.

Well, I thought Mexico is going to pay for it...

Well maybe we can deduct it, if and when we get anything out of the trade war we are going to start.

But, once again, no slick accounting tricks here - we can't actually deduct it unless it can be shown specifically which dollars from the trade war went to pay for it. We may just get stuck with $60.

Right now nothing can be added or deducted - it is all just speculation.

, , , and no fair counting money that has already been appropriated. That would be an affectation coming from a previous administration.
