There that looks better.. They are inept owners.. laughing stock of the league.. I bet teams take the week off most years when it comes to the Lions games. Treat it like a bye week most years is my guess..

Aren't they like...rilly rilly rich?

Plus they're like...the owners anyway?

Kind of makes them hard to fire.

Maybe ford Jr. will big boy his moms into letting him have full control. It's probably the only hope we have until we're using walkers to get around.

Mayhew, Caldwell, and Lombardi should all be fired tomorrow. Maybe Austin too, but he has shown enough promise that he should be considered a viable lame duck interim to finish the season and give him a chance to show whether he has an ounce of head coach capability within him.

Call Jim Harbaugh to let John Harbaugh know that he is their #1 choice after his season is finished.

Austin? That defense wilted today. Just crapped the bed.

1. I am unaware of any possible way to change out every member of the coaching staff midseason. If you can point to any team in history that has done that, please advise.
2. Of the coaches currently on the staff, whom would you prefer as an interim coach?
3. Austin has shown some degree of competency, unlike the other coaches, but I'm open to suggestions.
4. He would be an INTERIM coach to finish this year, not new HC.

No but if you fire a HC and OC and promote Austin, dumbest idea ever btw.. 21 games as a coordinator and you promote him to HC? But I regress you'd still have to hire DC and OC, midseason. If you need to hire 2 why not 3.

But for shits and giggles I'd put Joe in the HC spot.

With that being said it ain't happening. If they did hire Austin as Interim.. Mayhew is so dumb he's probably make him permanent after one win.

What ever the worst possible option is, the Lions will do it. If the do fire Caldwell and promote their DC to head coach, he'll win a couple games and they'll keep him for the next couple years even though he's not qualified.

It's not a dumb idea.... because Caldwell is clueless and cannot see the his cordinator is the biggest reason Matt has regressed ..man I just wish 1 person on here had the ear of the old lady who owns this team!!! You have to try something. ..oh wait this organization gave us how many Millen years :/

Not saying it's a dumb idea to can Caldwell and the rest but I see no point in promoting Austin. Why has Caldwell lost the team yet Austin gets a pass? The defense folded yesterday.

Because the HC is always in the spotlight. Why do you think co-ordinators get fired before HC's do? HC's use them as an excuse to save their asses.

Are you saying Austin should not be a head coach anywhere?

What do you see that says he's head coaching material? He can go elsewhere if another team is dumb enough but I certainly don't want him here as a HC.

That's my point.. You don't fire Caldwell but keep Austin.

The ability to take a group of above average/good defensive players and take them to a number 2 ranking.

Elevating the talent you oversee.
