Thanks for a great "rebuilding year" Wings.

GO BLUE!

shitcacago sports fans are only a notch below dallass, shittsburgh and blahston in being insufferably entitled motherfucking assholes who always need to insult and flame/troll Detroit sports fans in online sports forums and messageboards b/c of the downtrodden, crime/drug ridden and poverty stricken city itself that our teams represent.

Really hate to see any of their pro-sports teams and players win games, awards, titles, and/or championships, b/c of their overwhelmingly bandwagon fanbases.

I am pretty sure that I am not the only one who feels very disappointed in the outcome of the semifinal series vs the blackhawks, even though the team was not expected to make it that far, much less clinching a playoff berth @ the end of the abbreviated regular season.

I agree T... And you can't let a 3-1 series lead get away from you... Thanks Melrose for the curse..I knew when he said the wing's will not lose 3 in a row we were doomed...

There really is not one team out of the four teams left I can stand to watch.. I guess the Kings if a gun was to my head but it would be better if they were not defending champions.. I just cannot stand the other 3 fan's base...

Game 7 losses are never easy. I agree with you about Chicago sports fans most had never herd about the black-hawks before 2008. Gotta give Cubs fans credit though that team doesn't have a fan alive that has seen them win the WS and they still sell out every game.

As far as the Wings go, think about what was being said mid-way Through this season. Then think where they ended up, Chicago is one of the best two teams in the NHL and they played great with their backs against the wall so credit goes to them.

Honestly this reminds me of 2009 where the Wings were the veteran team expected to win while the Hawks were a young team that surprised everyone and gave the Wings all they could handle. The good news there is the Hawks won the cups the next year.

The Wings were plagued by turnovers in their own zone and periods of lazy play. But the 3rd period of last night's game was an amazing hockey battle. The Hawks have some great skaters. Next year for the Wings.

When the Wings tied it up, I really felt they were going to pull it out.

The title of this thread represents my sentiments exactly.

And until next year is here, fuck it too.

They exceeded my expectations this year too, though it doesn't make blowing the 3-1 lead any less painful. There is a lot to look forward too next year in the East. Hopefully we trim some of the dead weight and sign a vet dman and sniper on the wing to go along with our young blood.

The goon squads are nust as abundant in the East so they should consider adding some of them too. All four teams left are known goon squads.

We now return you to our regularly scheduled anticipation of the football season while watching some baseball.
