Game 1: Lions @ Chargers Thread

Yeah...I don't have much faith they can stop AP when they couldn't stop Woodhead. Best hope is that Bridgewater throws 10 INTs

Or that Bridgewater cant play. The Viking oline is pretty banged up

That isn't funny...he has been missing since the game yesterday. Maybe he is watching the game tape over and over again trying to make up excuses!

Seems strange to me that Abdullah only had 7 carries, did Lombardi think this was a preseason game, trying to split up carries no matter who was actually being productive? If the Lions muss the playoffs, does Lombardi still have a job? He singlehandedly handcuffs this offense

Lions ran well, had good pressure.

Calvin, Tate need to do more.

Mathis and Tulloch need to get their head out of their ass.

We need Levy and Slay healthy. And Warford and Waddle.

Whoever put that suicide meme up should be banned for one year.

It's game one. AFC road loss. Lions still a double digit win season and division title in the cards.

Bring on Minnesota. Huge divisional game.

We lost to carolina early last year too. Get over it

Thought the AFC West sucked?

Huge difference between the two games. Losing to Carolina wasn't that much of a gut wrench, Carolina took control at the end of the 3rd. This was an absolute choke job.

We dominated San Diego then got dominated when Mathis and Tulloch forgot how to cover in the second half.

Good run D, 17 drop backs of pressure which was good.

Walker had 7 hurries. Ngata 4.

Good run defense.

Levy will obliterate these crossing routes when he comes back. Chargers caught a huge break with Lions missing Levy, Warford and Waddle.

First Stafford pick is on the Oline. Second one may be Stafford or may be Tate.

Stafford went 3/11 when under pressure plus the sack. 16/19 without pressure. Detroit must protect him better than that.

Rivers went 35/42 and was under pressure 17 of those. Even if all of his incomplete passes were under pressure he went 10/17 under pressure?

Maybe the other teams won't figure out that Stafford can't play under pressure. I'm surprised he doesn't get blitzed every down.

just block him...that way your feelings won't get hurt and the rest of us can enjoy his sense of humor.

Bingo. I've had him blocked for the better part of 2 years so I only have to read his bullshit when I feel like laughing or bantering. Glad I struck a nerve, dude is an asshole.

Stafford had a good opening Drive, padded his stats in the final draft. The 54:17 of time in-between was just garbage. Some his doing, some not. Year 7 and still making excuses for the guy.
At least he didn't miss the wide open MUN in the middle of the field this time. So I guess that is progress.
