Game is postponed due to inclement weather. It will be played tomorrow afternoon instead.

Baseball needs to shorten the season and play in better weather if at all possible.

They should but they never will. Baseball more than any other sport is enamored with records and stats. Plus they?d be tossing aside an extra 30 games worth of revenue.

Could always add more double headers. Seems like there used to be a lot of them back in the day. Could be wrong, but it seems like when I was a kid they used to have quite a few.

Bummer. I thought it might but I was really getting ready to watch a game today..

I'm okay with 154 or 162. You're right about the stats but that's part of what makes baseball great.

They did. I remember once a team had 3 DH in 4 days but that was to make up for rain outs. I love true DH, play the 2nd game 20 minutes after the first game - not afternoon - night DH. I also remember DH being scheduled before the season..

Complelty agree and yes there were lots more of those years ago.

You have 2 games where 4 LA teams are playing each other. Look at some of the series to start:

HOU vs TEX

LAA vs OAK

SFG vs LAD

COL vs ARZ

Not like it doesn't rain at those places. Okay maybe Arizona.

I have a friend who works with a minor league team. I asked him the same question...why not schedule more early games with more southern teams? He said the southern teams don't want a disproportionate number of games in early April because attendance is typically terrible during that time of year...especially weekday games. Maybe it's the same reason in MLB?
