Get StartedIggy with another HR today, #4 on the year. Iggsmiester doing a great job increasing his trade value here down the stretch to the deadline.
Not sure who the trade partner would be?!.

How much is he making? I like Iggy, I'd rather keep him.. When I see bad team making trades I start to look at who we have to replace him. Does Goodrum play there for the future or do we have someone at the ml level?

Iggy is a Free Agent. If not traded, there is no way they give him a qualifying offer. This means he walks for nothing. I also doubt they sign any extension with him. He is projected to make $14 Mil in 2019. That is a lot to give to a no offense SS.
You can always trade for a no name SS. Or even sign one in the off season. Every couple of years, there is a Niko Goodrum waiting for a MLB team to give them a chance. Or, you give a guy like Sergio Alcantara a chance. Alcantara has been reported to be just as good defensively as Iggy and probably a little more skilled with the bat (or at least gets on base more often). Like Iggy, he really does not hit for power (5'9", 168 lbs).
There should be no expectations of whoever plays SS for DET in 2019. It would be folly to have Iggy, unless he doesn't want a salary increase.
14m? How does he make that, dang. As far as SS he's better than most on defense. And better than some on offense, lol. You know what you're going to get. The reason why I brought it up even rebuild teams need a SS. Plus, not sure I see Alcantara as good as Iggy. Certain not in the field. Iggy blows him away there. IMO.
