Game 107 Rockies & Tigers Aug 2nd

Right.

But I think AA is really defensively solid all around...and he really works well with the pitching staff, it looks like to me.

I'd say he is a plus defensively. One of the things he does I like it set up late, some catchers set up too early and I think the batters can get a feel of where the ball is going to be (inside, outside, middle, etc.)

Oppisist field that's the Avila we need to see much much more often!

I hope Nick C. can improve on his glove at 3B, the hit tool is there if only at times. I have to think it's his age, he has been young for most of his stops up the chain to the Tigs and is still iirc only 22.

Nice to see Alice with another hit off a lefty.

Suarez knocks him in

Tigers lead 5 - 2,

Others have disagreed, but I think if he works hard and puts on some upper body mass, he might not be a terrible right fielder.

But I just don;t see him getting much better at 3B. Reaction times are just too slow, need quick feet and sadly he doesn;t have them.
