Tork hit 31 homers at 23 years old. He's sucked with detroit this year, but at least showed talent at the plate last year. I'm fine with giving him multiple chances to figure it out.I don't think Meadows and Tork are either.

Andy Dirks. He's been doing radio a lot with Dickerson. The plan is for him and Alex Avila to do more tv the rest of the season. I'll take either of them over the the guys they've been using with Benetti.Who is the guy with Benetti, I don't recognize the voice.
He showed he can hit home runs if things are going right. Big Red and Boesch did too at one point. Tork will never hit for average so to be a productive 1B he needs lot of HR. I just don't see him hitting 30 every year. And why does he start off slow every season? I'll try him next season but if his April/May start bad move on..Tork hit 31 homers at 23 years old. I figured that out when Benetti mentioned it in 3rd inning. Thank you though, he did a good job.Andy Dirks. He's been doing radio a lot with Dickerson. BB never hit more than 16 homers in a season. He had three years in a row of double digit homers and hit only 48 total. They are not giving up on a former #1 pick this soon..He showed he can hit home runs if things are going right. Big Red and Boesch did too at one point. His 4th season next year. If he fails next season you move on.. As you said yourself we need batters who can hit.. 4 seasons is plenty. #1 pick or not. I'll root for him like heck in hopes he hits but this rebuild is taking too long, status quo of guys not getting it done is rediculous.BB never hit more than 16 homers in a season. hopefully they both can figure it out. Tigers need them along with Greene and Carpenter back. Hopefully soon.
The run differential has reached +11 when Tigers were 5-0. O how the mighty have fallen.Tigers pobo Scott Harris: "We are not looking to buy out Javy Baez."We haven't explored that at all."
"We’re looking to help him recapture the attributes that made him one of the better shortstops in baseball, because we could use that guy right now."
The definition of insanity..then try and convince your manager this October to endure another (the 4th) season of this..not happening..the smartest thing Scott could do..is just stop talking again.
Tigers run differential the past 5 years (minus Covid season)
2024: -11 (we were at +3 at one point)
2023: -79(Scott Harris is hired)
2022: -156
2021: -59 (remember, after this year we thought that adding a SS would fix all our problems)
2019: -333
