I felt they were in trouble when they failed to go 6-0 when they did not sweep the Mets at the beginning of the season!

Fitting that the .197 guy makes the last out. That tells me a whole lot about this team, management gm, and ownership. Sums it up!

Final line for Tigers starter Tarik Skubal: 6.1 IP, 7 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 2 BB, 8 K. 95 pitches, 63 strikes. Generated 12 whiffs on 49 swings (24.5% whiff rate) with seven fastballs, one sinker, four changeups. More than two earned runs at Comerica Park for first time since April 5.

Fans will boo the hell out of Chris Ilitch at the Leyland ceremony..and Scott Harris will sit in his chair..and not say one word.

What looked like very early on, a team that would make strides this season, finish at or above .500, be a factor in the Wild Card hunt, has now gone up in smoke. Where there was once some optimism, now skepticism and question marks as to how serious they want to be competitive.

$60 Mil under the Cap to start the season. 44% of the actual payroll is Maeda, Baez, and Miggy. Also, they just dumped another $11 Mil for the rest of this season. Tigers are at or very close to the lowest payroll in MLB. We are the Dollar General of baseball.

What’s it like to be a fan of a team who doesn’t use August and September as tryouts every year.
 
I am beyond frustrated with this team. Fans have a right to be pissed.

I wish they would have done a bit more in the offseason, I mean bringing back McKinstry was a mistake. But I never thought this was a playoff team at the beginning.

They need to drop McKinstry, drop Vierling, Drop Gio, get rid of half the BP - get someone who can play SS so Javy can start vs LHP only. Get a FA 3B, 1 FA OF, and find some starters. That's a lot so I suspect none of that happens.. and 2025 will be like 2024.

I disagree about contending for the division. The tigers absolutely tore the division up in 2023. If they had just spent a little more wisely maybe they could have stayed close. I guess to many you get guys got hurt at just didn’t perform. But we did waste a lot of great pitching early when we could have stacked some wins up. Frustrating that every team but the white Sox are better than us in the division. Matt is a good utility guy to have around I agree with the rest of your moves.

Beating the division one year means nothing when they failed against the east. And the teams they beat last year got better. And before the season started you knew they were better by the moves they made.. Yet we kept McKinstry. Didn't get a competent 3B, or someone else who could play short.

Ive been saying non stop we didn’t do enough in the off season and Harris failed miserably to make this team better. We wasted so many good early pitching when just a few extra hits could have won a bunch of games.

Could've would've should've with this organization.. The team went down hill after 5-0. All 30 teams could say if they had an extra hitter, or better BP etc. they could have won more games. Bottom line is we didn't have those hitters & pitchers.. They didn't spend money like they wanted to compete and so we didn't.
