A few observations. Here’s Spencer Torkelson’s swing from today and back on May 26. His timing through the strikezone is different. It appears that his hand is dropping more in the zone/shoulder is staying closed longer. The bat angle is far more even, not at an angle compared to back in May. Since June 1st, he’s hitting .313 against 96 MPH. While he’s not doing a lot of damage, he is making contact.

AJ was a terrible manger in the 9th. Miller, Fetters, and AJ all had a brain cramp in the 9th inning. I just saw a replay of Miller’s get me over BP fastball right down the Middle.
How stupid are we ? We know that is what the hitter is sitting on. Why is he throwing it right down the middle ? Just terrible.

If he didn’t take a month to adjust he would be by far and away AL ROTY.

Tigers outfielder Kerry Carpenter is running the bases right now. That's often the last box to check before a rehab assignment.
