Speaking of smallish our two new rooks have battings averages of .237, & .182, but OBP's of .348, & .325 ! Funny they can get on base but can't hit past their noise.
2 hits and suddenly Demeritte doesn't look so bad at .275.

But no offense doesn't mean a pitcher can't pitch well. If somehow he lets say has a 3.10ERA next season with a boat load of k's but has a record of 3-10 it won't prevent teams from wanting to trade him.
Looks like other GM's weren't fooled by his hot start. And to think that AA asked the Yankees for Tores :lmao:
He will have to pitch great all next year. He has proven to be inconsistent (month to month).
This year looks a lot like last year (with the exception of his strikeout numbers being higher)
ERA by month
2019 2018
Mar/Apr 3.13 2.74
May 2.55 3.18
June 5.90 6.32
July 4.70 4.34
August 8.93 4.25
Sept ? 5.40
Total 4.38 4.39
Sorry...for some reason the spacing is off above.

Has to work out some things. That's for sure. But sometimes players get better and have one of those seasons and I'm hoping that is coming .. I wonder if he gets fed up as the season goes by with the teams play. But nonetheless, here's hoping.
