I've been looking and can't find out what fenech said, only that JV said he was unethical on a few occasions.

Stewart to remain in Triple-A for extra work.

The Tigers activated outfielder Christin Stewart from the 10-day injured list Thursday and optioned him to Triple-A Toledo. The left fielder has been with the Mud Hens most of August on rehab assignments.

By remaining at Triple-A, Stewart will receive regular playing time, which he wouldn't necessarily have had with the Major League club. Tigers manager Ron Gardenhire also is looking for Stewart to make strides on defense.

"He's going to have to be better," Gardenhire said. "You can't continue to struggle and fight it. He's worked really, really hard, and he's better. But he still has to get better in the outfield and really be able to play [at Comerica Park]. Because our field is huge. And he's going to have to work on his throwing."

In 81 big league games this season, Stewart produced a .239/.321/.393 slash line, 21 doubles and seven home runs. He was placed on the 7-day concussion injured list on July 30. Stewart slashed .295/.392/.409 in 11 games with Toledo this month.

I saw a couple tweets from Fenech that weren't really unethical, but he was intentionally trolling Verlander.


There was one specifically where Fenech tweeted something like "this victory proves trading Verlander away was the right decision"... (seriously?)



Not unethical, IMO, but definitely immature. Unbecoming of a columnist for a major newspaper.

There was this guy who used to have a podcast and post on twitter, I forgot his name but he had something called the Detroit sports rag, or sports rag, and he ripped Fenech up one side and down the other about past indiscretions with young women, and drinking and driving, inside stories about Detroit athletes and celebs no one else had.

Small sample size notwithstanding, Jake Rogers will need to hit at least 100 points BA/OPS higher, if he is going to be their starting catcher, if/when this "rebuild" is over.
