3 minutes, 1 minute, makes no difference. Plenty of time for them. We have to stop them to win, I'm just managing it for if they do score, we would have time left to have a chance at a drive.

It's something I notice teams like Denver and New England do every single time. Manage the clock to get more drives no matter what.

it does matter. 3 minutes they can do whatever they want to do and don't have to hurry. 1 minute, they have to hurry and use timeouts and are limited in their play selection.
