So frustrating we can’t seem to develop any decent hitters. SD has 6 or 7 guys batting over .270. Sadly this game was Montero’s fault. SD has had way more chances than we have since the game was tied.

What a terrible pitch. He was so careful to the other guys in the 10th and he throws a
90 mph cheese pitch right down the middle to a .277 hitter.

Greene can get back on the deep balls. He was way too deep.
Don’t get a 90 mph cheese pitch right down the middle on a 1-1 count. He was 1-5 before that hit and not looking all that comfortable in the box . Made it way too easy for him. . That ball had hit me written all over it. He had a double a line out and two ground outs, one k.
Gotta knock him off the plate if you’re going to throw a cheese pitch. Didn’t matter Greene isn’t throwing Merrill out even if he is swallow.. That pitch sequence to Tatis was just bad.

Sadly our lineup just isn’t very deep, and situational this team is really poor. Moving runners over. Yeah that was a terrible 3 pitch K by Carpenter in the 10th.
If we ever do have a good hitting team at least we are good at going 1st to 3rd.

No your right it would not have mattered . But he was really deep. So many games the tigers have let slip away. Sad. Need to go 17-5 last 22 ! It still may not be enough !
