Game # 158 Tampa Bay @ Detroit, Wednesday, September 25th, 2024 6:40 Pm

How about when we do sign some free agents we can always use Spencer and carpenter as DH options ? Spencer had some good AB's tonight against a thought staff. That OF defense is special.

as far as free agents next year, I would like to see them add some starting pitching. Not so much any top end starters, but just like they did last year with Flaherety. Get a few vets with something to prove to add some depth to the rotation. I would think that they are going to be satisfied with the young guys at 2B, SS, the entire OF including Vierling, and Rogers isn't going anywhere as long as Skubal is on the team. 3B and 1B are really the only spots that they could add since they seem set on giving these young guys a chance to grow together. I could see them adding a "professional hitter" that can play both 1B & 3B.

I went to the store so I had the radio and Dickerson said that Charlie Maxwell played with Detroit from 1955-62. I guess he listens or watches the Tigers all the time. He us still alive at 97
Wow. I think Dickerson said he is the oldest living tiger still alive.
(I think)

I agree. I don't want to give up on Spencer just yet. But we need production.

Charlie Maxwell has to be the oldest living Tiger at age 97. He was born 4 months after my Dad.

SCOTT’S SURPRISE.
